National No Entry Network: Empowering Futures, Building Change

The National No Entry Network (NNEN) is a pioneering organization specializing in comprehensive training, consulting, and direct services for individuals striving to transition away from the criminal justice system. Our steadfast mission is to empower and reshape the trajectories of these individuals by offering multifaceted support and guidance.

At NNEN, we are committed to addressing the complex challenges faced by the people we serve. Our approach is holistic and encompasses an array of vital strategies, including intensive diversion and prevention techniques, effective behavior modification, and robust workforce development training. We couple these strategies with a dedicated focus on job placement assistance, enhancing the opportunities for individuals to achieve self-sufficiency and lasting personal growth.

Our Journey

For over a decade, we've passionately collaborated with reentry stakeholders to create supportive environments that empower individuals and families affected by the criminal justice system to successfully reintegrate them into society.

In 2016, we began to realize that the only way to truly create lasting change in the challenges impacting our community was to provide interventions aimed at proactively addressing the thinking that leads to criminal behaviors, instead of reactively waiting to try to help young people recover from harm we could have stopped them from having to endure in the first place. In other words “Turn off the Faucet.”

In 2023, our visionary founder Mr. Terrence Davis, with over two decades of personal and professional experience in working with adults and adolescents in the criminal justice system, pioneered the No Entry model of prevention and diversion and took a significant step forward by establishing the National No Entry Network as a 501(c)(3) organization. This milestone marked the birth of our transformative journey.

The No Entry Initiative

We are the architects of the No Entry Initiative, a visionary approach that builds community care collaboratives. These collaboratives unite diverse stakeholders from various sectors, including faith-based organizations, nonprofits, educational institutions, businesses, public safety agencies, criminal justice systems, and mental health communities who share in the vision of promoting social justice, equality, and empowerment for young people.

At The No Entry Network, our mission is to transform the lives of at-risk young individuals in our community. Through our N.E.S.T programs, we're tackling the critical issues of youth incarceration, substance use, and gun violence. We provide comprehensive solutions that empower these young people to make informed decisions and shape a brighter future.

Our programs focus on three main elements:

First, we teach and empower. We guide young individuals facing risks of incarceration, substance use, and gun violence. Our training helps them navigate harmful thinking patterns and use critical thinking tools to make better decisions, preventing justice involvement and harm to themselves and their communities.

Second, we offer practical skills training. Alongside behavioral certification, participants can gain valuable occupational skills through our Universal HVAC and Duct Cleaning certification programs, as well as assistance enrolling in other occupational skills programs such as CDL, Hospitality and more through our community partnerships. Our goal is to equip them with the tools for stable employment, fostering personal, professional, and financial growth.

Lastly, our interventions are designed with the purpose of enhancing public safety. By addressing root causes, we contribute to reducing the likelihood of criminal behavior. We're working to increase community support and awareness, driving positive changes in negative cultures.

Join us in making a significant impact on the lives of these young individuals and our community's well-being.

About Terrence Davis Sr. CEO

Terrence Davis Sr

Davis Endeavors CEO, Terrence Davis, is a social service representative with over 20 years of experience in case management, crisis intervention, community engagement, and program development.  He has served as the Program Director for The Hope Foundation Reentry Network DC since 2014. Bringing program leadership and oversight to the S.A.F.E, Fresh Start, Ready Set Grow, Parenting, Anger Management, and Restorative Justice programs within the Department of Corrections, Ward 8 community and MORCA, he ensures that clients are afforded a secure, safe, and therapeutic environment.  Terrence is a successful advisor, facilitator, and client advocate in the areas of substance abuse prevention, rehousing, and mental health rehabilitation.

Born in East Orange and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Terrence relocated to the Washington, D.C. area at 18. Despite enduring physical and emotional trauma as an adolescent, succumbing to violence, the drug world, and incarceration, he was able to overcome the most challenging pitfalls of society. With strong support from his family and the community, he strived to embody a model of principles, discipline, and healthy lifestyle choices that produced a lasting change in his life. Terrence uses these same experiences and practices to connect with diverse populations including the homeless, mentally and emotionally challenged, at-risk youth, and the incarcerated community.

Over the past 18 years, Terrence elevated his skills from a problem-solving facilitator to a strategic interventionist in the areas of behavior modification, substance abuse prevention, psychiatric rehabilitation, and youth development. Mr. Davis is the founder of “No Entry,” a model for educating adolescents on and aiding them in overcoming the barriers and pitfalls created by their criminogenic traits before the onset of incarceration, substance abuse incarceration, criminal thinking, and destructive behaviors. He is also a certified Peer Specialist and a Recovery Coach on the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment unit with the D.C. Department of Corrections and serves on the Prince Georges County Reentry Advisory Board.

Terrence’s extensive contributions to youth development have established a track record of favorable outcomes.  He has successfully provided behavior modification techniques to individuals presenting typical Axis I & II disorders including depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and various mood disorders. He has provided a continuum of care in the community, participating in 504/IEP treatment plan meetings in conjunction with the Department of Youth and Rehabilitation Services (DYRS), Child and Family Services (CFSA), the Department of Public Services (PDS), the Court Services and Supervision Agency (CSOSA), and various interdisciplinary teams.

Throughout the years Mr. Davis has developed a strategic intervention style that is genuine, thought-provoking, and engaging; one that allows him to be equally effective in providing long-term coaching, mentoring, case management, and life skills to individuals coping with incarceration, homelessness, unemployment, and prosocial behaviors.

SUCCESS IS NOT FINAL. FAILURE IS NOT FATAL. IT’S THE COURAGE TO CONTINUE THAT COUNTS.
