No Entry Project
Young people today face a more arduous pathway to success than ever before. With so many more falling victim to Poverty, Addiction, Homelessness, Gun Violence, Mass Incarceration and Death at younger ages and at higher rates than we've ever seen in the past. After working with youth both inside and out of carceral spaces we realized that most of the programing found in the community, faith-based organizations and offered by the government are divergent to the actual needs of the at-risk population because they fail to target the specific behaviors that lead to criminal thinking errors, which ultimately lead to gun violence, substance use, property damage and criminal behavior, and incarceration.
Therefore, in transitioning to Prince George’s County our goal is to engage the community in the “No Entry Project.” The No Entry mission is to Protect, Promote, Provide leadership, training and Insight along with long lasting connections to resources and opportunities for economic growth for youth ages 13-19. Participants will receive financial compensation while learning how to utilize cognitive tools to better themselves and address early onset thinking errors and criminalgenic behaviors through a blend of virtual classes, in-person workshops and community engagements such as our community feeding diversion program where youth learn about healthy eating; they bag and prep groceries and they also assist with delivering groceries and fresh produce to underserved communities.
